Where are the Marcy Projects?Answer:
The Marcy Houses are a public housing project in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn in New York City. The project consists of 27 six-story residential buildings on 28 acres with 1,705 apartments housing about 4300 residents. Completed on January 19, 1949, it is bordered by Flushing, Marcy, Nostrand and Myrtle Avenues. Because rents in the housing project are subsidized by the federal government, the average monthly rental price for an apartment in the complex is $336.
Rapper Jay Z (a.k.a. Shawn Carter) grew up in the Marcy Projects.
